Watertown Dining Room
This project was in construction during covid, and we intended to order tile for the fireplace… and then the factory closed. A friend of a friend of ours, Katherine Hackl, is a ceramicist and painter. She handmade and painted each tile, selecting a tile size that enabled them to be installed without any cut tile. The matte brick color is what we intended to order, Katherine paired it with a glossy cream in a pattern based off Brazilian woodcut tiles. The coffered ceiling was added, we installed the narrow windows that had been lost though the years.
